Centro Huwã Karu Yuxibu recebe visita da equipe COMIN do sul do país

Na última semana, parte da equipe do COMIN esteve em Rio Branco (AC) para conhecer e acompanhar as ações do campo de trabalho do Acre e Sul do Amazonas. A visita foi acompanhada também por Rodrigo Mariano, indígena Guarani Mbya do Rio Grande do Sul.

Entre as atividades, o grupo visitou o Centro Huwã Karu Yuxibu do povo indígena Huni Kui. O centro, localizado na Transacreana, zona rural da capital acreana, existe desde agosto de 2015 e tem o objetivo de fortalecer a identidade cultural do povo Huni Kui. Entre as atividades que contribuem para isso, estão as oficinas de Tecelagem e Miçanga organizadas com o apoio do COMIN.

Durante a visita, o grupo foi acompanhado pela cacica Bismani Huni Kui e pela produtora cultura Mirna Naiara Campos do Rosário. Além de conhecer o centro, a equipe participou de um momento cultural e conversou sobre a história e as dificuldades do local.
